A warm welcome awaits you at White Cross House, which offers high quality 4 star, non-smoking accommodation in a comfortable and spacious, Victorian home retaining a number of original features. We are ideally placed for exploring the beautiful countryside surrounding Banbury, for visiting family and friends or for those on business in Banbury. Guests may also be welcomed by our friendly cat "Bracken".
Our two spacious twin-bedded ensuite guest rooms are tastefully decorated, furnished and equipped to provide guests with a high standard of comfort, including flowers and fresh fruit. A small chiller enables us to provide fresh milk. We are often complimented on our very comfortable beds. Families can be accommodated in our larger room with the addition of a folding bed and a cot.
Served between 8.00 and 9.00, or earlier if required, in our attractive breakfast room overlooking the delightful walled terrace. Come down to the delicious aroma of freshly baked homemade bread and help yourself from a generous selection of fresh fruits, juices, yoghurts and cereals whilst your full English breakfast or a selection of your choice is freshly cooked for you. Enjoy our homemade preserves and local honey. Wherever possible we use locally sourced and Fairtrade ingredients. Vegetarian or special diets catered for with advance notice.
Just 5 minutes walk from Banbury Cross and the Fine Lady statute (of nursery rhyme fame), and Banbury's historic town centre with its picturesque canal side where you can watch narrow boats negotiating the lock. Within a short walk there is a variety of good restaurants and bars where you can enjoy evening meals.
Close to many places of interest. The Cotswolds are easily accessible within a few minutes' drive, as well as Sulgrave Manor, Blenheim Palace and several National Trust properties (Upton House, Chastleton, Farnborough, Canons Ashby.) Warwick (castle), Stratford (Shakespeare), Silverstone (motor racing), and Oxford are all within 30 minutes by car.
We are close to Banbury's business and commercial centres.
5 minutes from J11 on M40. Banbury is well served by public transport with frequent bus and rail services to a wide range of locations. Birmingham International airport is easily accessible by road or rail. We are situated on a bus route from the town centre and just 15 minutes walk from the railway station. There is ample well lit off road car parking.
